I am Emily J. Runyan, a practicing psychotherapist since 2007 and board-certified neurofeedback clinician since 2019. I have a broad background in the field of mental health spanning over 15 years. I have experience in psychological testing and evaluations, individual therapy, and most recently extensive training and continuing education in neurofeedback. I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to my individual private practice, located centrally and conveniently in the college hill neighborhood of Wichita, Kansas.
My Approach
I currently work with children (generally 6 and up), teenagers and adults, providing quantitative EEG “brain mapping” assessments, individualized treatment plans and ongoing oversight of neurofeedback interventions. I treat various conditions ranging from (but not limited to) ADHD, anxiety, depression, learning disorders, cognitive impairments and rehabilitation from brain injury with neurofeedback. My clinical background provides a foundation that has been particularly helpful in my journey of learning about and promoting brain health.
The addition of neurofeedback in my professional life has allowed me to connect with my values – I enjoy learning and there is an endless path of learning associated with the brain! As a clinician, I connect my mental health background with the science and application of neurofeedback – a targeted learning paradigm that facilitates regulation and improved function.
Ultimately, I want to offer validated and effective interventions that support the specific goals of each individual client.
I am currently only accepting new clients for neurofeedback services.
